Some old cars are not looking very good but have a story to tell.

The photo of the grafitti covered TTC streetcar is not very clear. Here is a much better one of a similar PCC car running in Toronto in the active days along with one of an ALRV (articulated light rail vehicle) that replaced it. http://urbantoronto.ca/news/2011/09/then-and-now-queen-and-carlaw

I admit that I am Internet challenged ... Don't know how to add to a blog, but I can write some comments here.

First off, you went to the wrong restaurant! La Placita is an excellent restaurant with more than one room. The main room has a tree that grows out through the roof! The food is very good, wonderful sopapillas and delicious flan for dessert.

I love Old Town and it needs credit! Everyone talks of the Plaza in Santa Fe with its fabulous jewelers and art galleries. I guarantee that Old Town in Albuquerque has custom jewelry and art just as good! And Native American artists sell on the sidewalk around the Old Town Plaza.

Stay clear of the shops right on the Plaza. Most are definitely for tourists. Explore some of the side streets. I have bought many Xmas gifts and decorations for my home from Old Town. And a bonus? On the north side of Old Town on Mountain Rd, you can visit the Albuquerque Museum, Natural History Museum, and for the kids, Explora.

So true. We hunt down things outside ourselves to heal our inner selves. I'm convinced of this:

It's not who you know or who knows you,
but what you learn about yourself.

Congratulations! I enjoyed 'Questing Marilyn' so much. I picked it up one day on a whim. I had just embarked on a sort of 'quest' of my own and the title intriqued me. Fabulous book! Can't wait to read this one too!

Comment on How can you stop workplace bullies? by Bernadette Willems

The most effective process is workplace mediation which gets the parties involved to work with an independant third party (the mediator) in a safe and confidential environment to examine what the issues are and help the protagonist 'bully' understand the effect his behaviour is having on his team members. I also provide training/coaching at management level to ensure they are using the best tools available to get the best out of their teams without alienating co-workers.

If the company has an anti bullying policy, the 'victim' can raise a complaint/grievance, and this may be dealt with through mediation, if the parties agree.

Bernadette Willems
Lawyer mediator
http://www.simonbergin.com

I have found an understanding of the 16 personality types on the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) a very valuable way of helping people with personality differences to get on in a team, a family and in a marriage. It isn't sufficient to know people on your team or in your relationship are different, it's also having the practical communication skills to manage these differences. I have been married to my opposite for some 32 years and understanding our MBTI is what helps us live and work together well. Before the MBTI we thought the other was being deliberately difficult! We've just made a CD talking about our marriage and our team work. Check it out at www.confidence4U.biz

There is a women's community that also provides valuable information and tools to women to assist them in their business, and help in being successful. check it out at www.braveheartwomen.com
